The Poudre River Irregulars

The Poudre River Irregulars band (PRI) presents music of the early 20 the Century through the Great American Songbook. The music presented on any First Friday is distinctly unique as the musicians in this group have played together interchangeably for three decades and more. You’ll note the communication between the musicians leads to a tight swinging rhythm and the bright energetic ensemble offers openings for solo voices, which allows each member’s personality to shine as they improvise.

An added treat is hearing the “back story” of the music – bringing early Jazz alive with historical tidbits and stories of early musicians and their music, connecting to relevance in this decade and the future.

These men began their musical journey at very young ages and masterfully bring forth vintage and current musical gems. The fun and energy they share with each other is also shared with YOU, the listener. Come by Avogadro’s Number to let PRI musicians become YOUR jazz friends in Northern Colorado.
